What Previous Retreat Guests Say…
“A big thank you to the team at the Yoga Institute for a beautiful couple of days connecting with the heart through yoga and meditation sessions. Whilst only a 3 day retreat, I returned back home completely recharged and rested. I would totally recommend joining in one of their retreats regardless of level of yoga and cannot wait to join the next one” Alex
_______________
“What a special retreat this was! Surrounded by nature with delicious food and lovely accommodation, we were led by highly experienced teachers who shared their wisdom on all things connected to the heart. I learnt so much in such a short period of time ranging from different yoga poses, breathing and meditation techniques and theories about the mind and the body. I would highly recommend this team of teachers and the retreats they organise to anyone!” Penny
_______________
“The Heart of Yoga Retreat was such an insightful and powerful experience. Not only did I connect more to my own heart but also to the hearts of others through listening openly to each other’s stories and embracing our shared humanness in circles. Michael did a wonderful job holding space to feel safe, respected and heard. The schedule provided the perfect balance between time for self- reflection, time for group gatherings and time spent in the beautiful surroundings. I left with my heart wide open, feeling truly connected to myself, others and nature’s magic.” Dani

Common Questions
1. What if I can’t get to Martinsville by 5:30pm on the Friday?
No problem, please let us know in advance if you think you are unavoidably arriving a bit later.
2. Can I pay extra to have my own room?
Our Watagan retreat premises cannot accomodate private bedrooms. All beautiful bedrooms are a number of single beds. But we will keep the retreat small and intimate, so everyone can relax into the supportive feeling of true community (sanga). Depending on final numbers, we may be able to spread people out across different bedrooms, but please be prepared to share a room.
3. What if I’m still quite new to yoga?
No problem! We are passionate about removing misconceptions about who yoga is for. Yoga is for everybody. If you can breathe, you can do yoga. Whatever your physical capabilities are, wherever you are at in your knowledge of what yoga is beyond physical postures, and whether you have ever had experience with the philosophical wisdom of yoga, all are welcome!
4. What if I have certain food allergies and/or chosen food restrictions?
The sign-up process allows you to tell us about any medical or chosen restrictions, and we will let the chef know.
