The Heart of Yoga Program Bali offers an opportunity to connect with yourself and others, amidst the beauty of Bali's east coast.

 

What is the Heart of Yoga Program?

This is more than a yoga retreat, this is a life changing experience!

You will delve into the wisdom of Yoga teachings; be part of facilitated group discussion where everyone is given the opportunity to listen and to be truly ‘listened to’; enjoy guided movement and breath practices; and explore what is and is not serving you through playful and reflective activities.

The program includes 3 one-on-one sessions with one of the program facilitators - before, during and after the retreat. We recommend the 1st and 3rd sessions take place 2-3 weeks before and after the retreat so that the full program is done over a 4-6 week period.

The Retreat Venue

The venue for our Heart of Yoga Retreat is Seraya Shores Resort on Bali's east coast.

Nestled on the shores of the Lombok Strait in East Bali within its own private coastline bay, the village of Seraya remains unspoiled. Traditionally sustainable, simplicity is the key at Seraya Shores, where less is more.

Be lulled to sleep by the sounds of breaking waves on the shoreline in this unique beachside resort.

 

In true Balinese design, each bungalow is handmade from natural carved timbers, high pitched thatched grass roofs and roomy decks, Seraya Shores accommodation bali is about as far away from it all as you can get on this magic "island of the gods."


Who is the program for?

Everyone! This program is uniquely designed to meet you where you are and will be equally transformative for new and experienced yoga students.

If you have an existing yoga practice, you will take your practice deeper and experience a profound shift in your relationships with others and with yourself.

If you are completely new to yoga, you will learn to connect with your breath, mind, body and loved ones in a whole new way.

There are no special requirements for experience in Yoga to join us. An integral part of the program is to adapt and develop a personal practice to suit your specific needs, level, ability, and goals.

Whether you're new to Yoga or someone who has been practicing for a while, this program will deepen your knowledge and experience of what Yoga can offer and help you find ease and peace in the midst life, no matter what comes your way.

What will I gain from the program?

We'll dive into how the ancient teachings of yoga can be used to support you to change aspects of  your life that are no longer working for you.

Your 3 private sessions and the 8 days of the retreat will give you the tools you need to develop a personal practice that will help you bring lasting changes into your life.

We will dive into the yoga sutras, yoga philosophy, pranayama, chanting and meditation.

Importantly, you will learn to use all the available tools of yoga to support yourself to take a closer look at the actions and behaviours that get in the way of living a life of ease and contentment in this crazy busy world.

You will come away with an individually tailored personal practice that you can apply in your home practice and adapt to work with in your regular group classes.

What will a typical day look like on retreat?

The specific timetable for each day of the retreat will evolve as the program facilitators get to know the group in the pre-retreat mentoring sessions and gain an understanding of where everyone is at and what is most needed by the group.

However, a typical day will look something like this…

    We will have exclusive use of the resort for the duration of the retreat. The grounds include a beautiful infinity pool on the shores of the Lombok Strait and gorgeous tropical gardens. There are plenty of quiet nooks around the grounds and you have direct access to a private beach in front of the property.

Practicalities

ARRIVAL: Saturday, October 13th

Our program will kick-off at 5pm on Saturday so if you're flying into Denpasar Airport on the day we recommend you book a flight arriving by 1pm.

DEPARTURE: Sunday, October 22nd

Our program will conclude at lunchtime on Sunday so we recommend you book your return flight to depart after 5pm.

WHAT TO BRING

  • Clothing suitable for a tropical climate. The average weather in Bali for October is low twenties overnight, up to high twenties / low thirties during the day

Rosie Caunt

Rosie has been a student of Yoga for 30 years, and has taught yoga for 15 years, 10 of which have been with The Yoga Institute.

Rosie’s specialty is Yoga Therapy, helping people to cope, manage and thrive amidst some of life’s more pressing challenges. She loves to work with women, running courses, workshops and retreats and always with a focus on individualising yoga practicies with a clear intention for physical, mental, emotional and spiritual self.

Natalie Bowcutt

After experiencing firsthand the transformative benefits of Yoga for herself, Natalie completed a 500 hour Yoga Teacher Training at the Yoga Institute, Sydney under the tuition of Michael de Manincor, one of the few teachers today authentically trained in the lineage of S.T.Krishnamacharya.

Fast forward a few short years, and many more hours of study and teaching and she is now the Co-Director of The Yoga Institute and Atha Revolution. She Feels privileged and excited about being part of sharing the gift of Yoga with as many people as she can.

Terms of Payment, Refund and Cancellation Policy:

Full payment for this retreat is required to secure your registration. Cancellations received more than 60 days prior to the event will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations received after that time will not be eligible for any refund. You may transfer your registration to another person at no cost, but you must notify the program host in writing prior to the event date if transfer is required.

EVENT CANCELLATION: The Yoga Institute Pty Ltd reserves the right to cancel any event, workshop or retreat due to extenuating circumstances. In the unlikely event that this occurs, a full refund of registration fees paid will be returned to the participant. However, no responsibility will be accepted for any consequential loss in any circumstances. Where applicable, adequate travel insurance is highly recommended.
